| BREAKING NEWS: Large Carnivore Centre in sight! |

Preparations took over two years to form the idea of an interpretative centre about the large carnivores of Romania with adjacent enclosure zone, now we can give it a Go. The Swiss/Italian Nando Peretti Foundation, the Dutch DOEN Foundation, the UK based European Nature Trust have given commitments to fund parts of the Large Carnivore Centre. Compania de Bere Romania (with their national brand icon URSUS, the most popular beer in Romania) has expressed its interest to become main sponsor of the Centre, and the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development through its German Development Cooperation/GTZ has approved to fund an initial planning workshop as a first step to financially support the establishment of the Centre.
We will initiate this Centre on a workshop in Zarnesti December 12th and 13th. Representatives of five Romanian Ministries, the Brasov county council, and many other local and regional administrations and NGO's have accepted the invitation. For our Carpathian Large Carnivore Project a dream comes true!
