| Racadau bears for sale on Internet auction |

The city administration of Brasov has announced that they want to sell up to 50 bears of Racadau on an Internet auction in the weeks and months to come. These bears have been subject of intensive studies of the CLCP and we do not believe that the problem can be solved in this way. Although we agree that the bears have become a real nuisance (yet they do not attack people, as told by the town hall, see attached .mpg ~589Kb), we believe the situation should be solved by closing in the garbage, which attracts the bears and by scaring them away with rubber bullets or other devices. So far, the town hall anyway has neither the ability nor the permissions to catch these bears. For more information see
