| Excursion of Swedish Carnivore Association |

Our colleagues from the Swedish Carnivore Association came on their annual fall excursion to the Piatra Craiului area. The group of 13 explored for one week on horse-back and on foot the forests of the Barsa Mountains in search of large carnivore information. Together with the staff of the CLCP they found lots of tracks of wolves and bears, some people from the group were able to observe bears and red deer, and on a radio-tracking excursion with Barbara they came close enough one of our wolf packs to hear them howling. The Swedish Carnivore Association was blessed with a week of fantastic fall weather and all trees in full colours and we are sure we will see them back soon.
