| Cleaning action on Barsa Valley |

On Friday, 04 may 2001, Carpathian Wildlife Foundation, in collaboration with the Eco-Tourism Association "Plaiuri Zarnestene" and Zarnesti Town Hall organized a big cleaning action on Barsa Valley. Over 130 pupils from two schools in Zarnesti and one high school in Brasov collected over 3000 kg of garbage, which was transported to the Zarnesti garbage dump by 6 locals with horse-carts. Through this action, we wanted to involve more the local people in our eco-programme, and also to prepare the Barsa Valley for the tourists to come.
