In Racadau, a quarter of the city of Brasov, up to 30 bears and more feed during the summer months from the garbage containers at the side of the road. Like this, they come into close contact with people. Our Strategy to solve this risky situation includes a public awareness programme for the local inhabitants. We now produced a school booklet about bears and the danger of habituation, which will be distributed to the students in grade 3 to 7 of the three schools in Racadau.
